~ THE RARE PONYTAIL CISSY ~Manufactured in 1956 for one year only, meet the rare Ponytail Cissy, wearing a crisply tagged and hard to find, near mint boxed extra pink wreath sundress from 1957! This polished cotton dress retains its original sheen; it's very doubtful it had ever been on a doll prior to this very lucky girl. The fitted slightly drop-waist bodice is decorated with scattered rhinestones and has a square neckline & armholes trimed with val lace. Green soutache braid accents both the neckline & dress bottom. A small fabric bow sits at the center front waist, closure is at the back with four square snaps. This is a spectacular example of this dress, with no holes, rips, tears or stains...and if I had the original box, I would say it was mint! Underneath Cissy wears seamed hosiery, a new off-white can-can petticoat with pink rick-rack trim and matching panties. On her feet are original vintage Cissy pink sandals. Cissy's jewelry of choice is a very pretty pink glass faux pearl set with, of course, her original "diamond" ring. The bow in her ponytail is vintage moire grosgrain ribbon...and last but not least, to ward off any chill Cissy is taking along her pink 100% cashmere cardigan sweater, made just for her with working rhinestone buttons.~ A MUST-HAVE FOR SURE ~This 1956 painted beauty is a rare one, she and her beautiful thick blonde ponytail manufactured only in 1956! Her blush has been very lightly refreshed & a fresh matte seal applied to protect her gorgeous features. Her eyes are brilliant clear ocean blue with full lashes, and she has no splits, cracks or odors.
