eBay ~ Cornflower Blue ELISE Doll By Madame Alexander ~ Never Played With Boxed #1730 For your consideration, I am offering a stunning Madame Alexander "Elise" doll in a gorgeous pleated cornflower tulle gown from 1960. Number 1730. I believe this amazing UNPLAYED with or displayed lady is from the 1961 FAO trunk set "Lady Elise Trousseau." She comes with her original box and tissue. Purchased from her original owner who was never permitted to play with her or be displayed. The doll and her outfit are in collector worthy pristine condition. Please see the details provided below. Head/Hair/Face ~ The doll has lovely all-original coloring with a nice even skin tone, nicely blushed cheeks, and beautiful red lips. NO touch-ups! Her eyes are a very pretty blue with nice thick lashes. Her blonde hair has lots of curls and is topped with a spray of blue and pink flowers. Body ~ No stains, cracks, or damage. Even skin tone. She has been restrung and will display nicely for many years to come. She holds a pose well. Clothing ~ Her ball gown is stunning! The tulle is a lovely even purple color and the lining of the dress is cornflower blue. The tag looks crisp and brand new. I have found no stains, rips, or holes in the tulle and it retains all of its original flowers and has diamond accents. The flowers are in beautiful condition and are still a lovely pink color. Under the dress, she has on a light blue slip and light blue bloomers. ALL elastic on the slip and bloomers are tight. No stretched-out garments. The hose pantyhose is in great shape and her high-heeled shoes are in great condition. The heel base is silver in color and the elastic is pink. The heels have the commonly found stretching however, they are uncut and far better than most. She retains her original diamond earrings. Box ~ The Box is intact and has some discolorations due to age. It has had some repairs over time to ensure its integrity for years to come. This doll can be seen in Shaw's book "The Elise Files" on pages 27 & 28. Truly a fantastic doll RARE doll that will display nicely in your doll collection.
